This is an 8-minute video compiled by the Cato Institute examining police hostility to the private video/audio documentation of police encounters. It’s compelling information you may want to know. Look, I’m a supporter of proper law enforcement, but as America wanders down the road to totalitarian/authoritarian state power, as “Protect and Serve” morphs into “Harass and Intimidate”, we need to know what we can and can’t do during our interactions with state apparatchiks, and that includes the police. This probably won’t save you from arrest or worse, but it might help get the Nazis out of law enforcement and a substantial civil settlement for you while your broken bones mend. Record or snap photos at your own risk.
Quote of the Day
"The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out for himself, without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, and intolerable"
-– H.L. Mencken
